Hi-line turntable construction - April 2004

A look at what we're fabricating. This is a dual guage turntable with 3-1/2" and 4-3/4" tracks.

The layout for the side skirts was drawn on some sheetmetal. The white sheet is for measuring
and tack welding purposes only. It will be replaced with heavier stock.

A closer view shows the ribs made from 1-1/2" angle iron with 1-1/2 flat stock
at the bottom edge.

Jim Leggett grinds out some slotted mounting holes. We decided later to mill some slotted
plates for the mounting of the main support.
