Hi-line excavation - 11/10/03 (Saturday)

It's late morning and Steve Filiatrault arrives with a fifth-wheel lowboy loaded with this digger and
a tank treaded dumper. It's time to get serious, well, not really.

Steve heads toward the hi-line area.

Now comes the dumper.

Huh? Who, me? Jim Leggett brought a 250 foot roll of geotextile.

Here's a two photo panoramic view of the southern end of the new hi-line.Looking north there
is the westrn switch on the left, the eastern switch on the right and the 1-1/2" scale
enginehouses on the far right. Click on this photo to view a larger version.

Elizabeth Leggett gets behind the levers of the dumper while Steve explains the controls of the digger
to Foreman Frank (Desaulniers).

Elizabeth traded up to the digger.

...and James Scott gets the dumper. See what happens if you arrive late.
